What Scorpio rising is like

Scorpio rising is the sign that is always slightly more than it shows. The gaze is steady, the manner is contained, and there is a sense of pressure held in reserve. People often describe a Scorpio Ascendant as magnetic without being able to say why; part of it is that the sign does not perform, and in a world of performance that reads as depth. Mars rules Scorpio traditionally, Pluto in the modern scheme, and both point to the same thing: will.

Trust is the currency. A Scorpio Ascendant tests before it commits and remembers betrayals precisely. The sign is associated with crisis and regeneration — the lives of people with Scorpio rising often have a chapter that ended everything and started something else — and with a capacity to sit with what others look away from.
