What Libra rising is like

Libra rising has charm, and knows it, and is slightly embarrassed by knowing it. The manner is pleasant, the taste is good, and there is an instinct for the balance of a situation — who needs drawing out, who needs calming down — that makes the Libra Ascendant a natural host, negotiator and diplomat. Venus rules the sign, and in air it turns toward relationship: the person is most themselves in company.

The shadow is indecision and a horror of conflict. A Libra Ascendant can see the merit in every position so clearly that choosing one feels like an injustice to the others, and can keep the peace at the cost of its own honesty. Fairness is a real value, not a pose, and the sign will fight — politely, thoroughly — over something it considers unjust.
