Venus attaches and the South Node has attached this way before. Relationships under this contact tend to feel immediately recognisable, which is charming and not always a recommendation. Taste is settled early and holds; charm is reliable and slightly automatic. Meetings often carry a sense of resumption rather than of beginning, and the person tends to read that sensation as significance when it is more often simply familiarity doing its work. The people who last are usually the ones who felt slightly unfamiliar at the start, which is not the sort of beginning this configuration is inclined to pursue.

A trine or a sextile makes the ease genuinely pleasant. Old friends stay, taste is unforced, and affection is given without calculation. The pairing is easy company and rarely pushed by anything, which is a mild loss and not one anybody involved is likely to complain about. Nothing forces a widening of taste, so the taste tends to be the same at sixty as it was at twenty-five.
The hard aspects (square or opposition)
Square or opposition, the familiar attraction obstructs the useful one. The same kind of partner arrives repeatedly under different names, and the pattern is defended as type. Noticing the recognition itself as the warning sign is what changes it: the jolt of instant familiarity is information about the past rather than about the person standing there. Sitting with a mild first impression rather than a strong one is the whole adjustment.
The conjunction
Conjunct, love arrives pre-formed. Relationships begin with startling familiarity and are hard to end for the same reason, and the person often carries an inherited idea of what a partnership is supposed to look like. That idea is usually a parent's and is rarely examined, since it does not present itself as an idea at all but as the way things are.
