Venus in aspect to Chiron
Venus is what a person values and how they attract; Chiron on it puts the injury in the sense of being lovable at all. Taste is usually excellent and self-estimate is not. Affection may be pursued in ways that confirm the original doubt, or refused before it can be withdrawn. The compensation is often real artistic ability, since beauty made rather than received is under one's own control. Money can carry the same charge as love, and for the same reason: both are ways of finding out whether one is worth anything to somebody.

The soft aspects (trine or sextile)
A trine or a sextile makes the tenderness attractive rather than costly. Others relax around this person and say more than they meant to. The pairing supports work in art, design or anything where being moved is part of the job, and the old doubt shows only as difficulty accepting a compliment. Praise is deflected so smoothly that most people do not notice it happening, and the person genuinely believes they have simply been accurate about the work.
The hard aspects (square or opposition)
Square or opposition, love and injury keep arriving together. Partners are chosen who confirm the verdict, or the person becomes the one who is needed rather than the one who is wanted. It changes when being valued is separated from being useful, which usually takes one relationship that does not require the usefulness. Until then the pattern is self-sealing: each round produces evidence, and the evidence is real, because the choosing was already shaped by the belief.
The conjunction
Conjunct, what is beautiful and what hurts are the same subject. Aesthetic judgement is fine and personal worth is negotiable, which is an uncomfortable combination in anyone who makes things: the work is praised and the maker does not believe it. Such people are often the best judges of everybody else's efforts and the worst judges of their own, and no amount of external agreement settles the question for them.
Reading it in a chart
The orb settles how strongly this shows: a contact within a degree is a defining feature of a chart, one at the edge of the orb is a colouring. The signs the two planets occupy change the manner, the houses change the arena, and a third planet touching either of them can change the reading entirely.
