Square or opposition, giving becomes the price of being loved. Provision is offered until it is expected, and resentment collects underneath the warmth. Asking for something outright, without earning it first, is what corrects the balance — and the difficulty is not pride but a genuine uncertainty about whether the request would be granted if nothing had been paid in advance.

Conjunct, to love is to feed. It is a genuinely lovely combination and a slightly indiscriminate one, since the caring is offered before it is established that the recipient will do anything with it.
