Uranus in aspect to Chiron
Uranus separates a person from the consensus; Chiron supplies the reason it hurt. The pairing belongs to people who did not fit and eventually made a position out of not fitting. The clarity is real — being outside a system is the best place to see it — and so is the cost, which is a persistent sense of watching from a distance even in company that wants them. The distance does not close by being invited in; it closes, when it does, by finding others who are standing at the same remove.

The soft aspects (trine or sextile)
Trine or sextile, the difference is usable. Reform, technology, unconventional therapies and anything that requires seeing round an orthodoxy all suit it, and the person can move between the margin and the centre without losing either. That mobility is the whole advantage of this contact: they can explain the outside to the inside, which is a role very few people can occupy for long.
The hard aspects (square or opposition)
Square or opposition, exclusion keeps being re-enacted. The person leaves before being left, breaks arrangements that were about to become secure, and calls it freedom. It settles when belonging is tested rather than assumed to be impossible. Testing it means staying somewhere past the point of discomfort and finding out what actually happens, which is the one experiment the pattern is organised to prevent.
The conjunction
Conjunct, being unlike others is the wound and the vocation at once. Generational for its cohort but sharply personal where it touches a chart's angles or lights, and it usually shows as someone who is valued precisely for the way they are difficult to place. The valuing tends to arrive late, from people who were not in the rooms where the difficulty first got them into trouble.
Reading it in a chart
The orb settles how strongly this shows: a contact within a degree is a defining feature of a chart, one at the edge of the orb is a colouring. The signs the two planets occupy change the manner, the houses change the arena, and a third planet touching either of them can change the reading entirely.
