Sun in aspect to Lilith
Black Moon Lilith marks what refuses to be domesticated, and on the Sun it sits in the identity itself. There is something in the person that will not be made presentable, and the life tends to divide into periods of suppressing it and periods of leading with it. Both are uncomfortable. What works is neither performance nor apology but simply declining to explain. The suppressed version costs more than it appears to, since the material does not go anywhere and the effort of holding it is mistaken by everybody, including the person, for ordinary tiredness.

The soft aspects (trine or sextile)
Trine or sextile, the refusal is integrated. The person is straightforwardly themselves in rooms that would prefer otherwise, and it reads as presence rather than provocation. Others find it steadying, which surprises them — the assumption going in is usually that being unapologetic will cost something, and here it mostly does not. Rooms adjust to them rather than the other way round, usually without anybody deciding to.
The hard aspects (square or opposition)
Square or opposition, the ungovernable part and the public self keep colliding. Approval is sought and then destroyed, often in the same week. The pattern loosens when the person stops auditioning the difficult material for permission it is never going to receive, and starts treating it as a fact about themselves rather than a proposal awaiting a decision.
The conjunction
Conjunct, the exile and the identity are one. Such people are magnetic, difficult to place and frequently punished for qualities they are later admired for, which does nothing for their opinion of audiences. The later admiration is rarely experienced as vindication; it arrives from people who were not present for the punishment and who assume it never happened.
Reading it in a chart
The orb settles how strongly this shows: a contact within a degree is a defining feature of a chart, one at the edge of the orb is a colouring. The signs the two planets occupy change the manner, the houses change the arena, and a third planet touching either of them can change the reading entirely.
