Saturn maintains form and Uranus breaks it, which makes this the chart's clearest statement about tradition and revolt. Where the two are linked, the person is caught between wanting a structure and wanting out of it. Practical originality is the best outcome: invention that is actually engineered, reform that survives committee, a new idea built to last. Tension is chronic and productive. The soft aspects (trine or sextile)
A trine or a sextile lets discipline and innovation cooperate. New methods are introduced without wrecking what worked, and the person can be original inside an institution rather than only outside one. Technical and organisational skill often combine. The limitation is that a balance this comfortable seldom pushes hard in either direction, and neither the tradition nor the break gets fully tested.
The hard aspects (square or opposition)
Square or opposed, the two demands alternate. Periods of strict order give way to abrupt breaks, authority is both sought and resisted, and plans can be dismantled at the point where they were becoming settled. Frustration is real and so is the eventual competence. This is the friction that produces reformers who know how the system actually works, which is the only kind that changes anything.
The conjunction
Conjunct, structure and disruption arrive together, and the person builds and rebuilds in the same motion. Discipline is genuine and so is the refusal to accept a form merely because it was inherited. Work in engineering, science and institutional reform suits it well. The internal pressure is considerable, since both impulses are constant, and a stable routine does more for it than any attempt to resolve the argument.

The orb settles how strongly this shows: a contact within a degree is a defining feature of a chart, one at the edge of the orb is a colouring. The signs the two planets occupy change the manner, the houses change the arena, and a third planet touching either of them can change the reading entirely.
