Pluto in aspect to Ceres
This is the myth stated directly: Ceres is the mother and Pluto took the daughter. The contact concerns nourishment and power — care used as leverage, or care lost and fought for. It commonly appears where a childhood involved real separation or a household where feeding and control were the same act. The recovery is possible and it is not clean, and it typically runs on the same seasonal pattern the myth describes: a period of return, a period of absence, and no permanent settlement of either. Both parties usually understand the pattern and neither can do much about its timing.

The soft aspects (trine or sextile)
Trine or sextile, that depth serves the caring. The person can be present for grief, addiction and the aftermath of catastrophe without needing it resolved, which very few people can do. Families in the worst part of something tend to discover that this is the relative who can be told the truth. They are also unshockable about what people do under that kind of pressure, which is why the truth arrives.
The hard aspects (square or opposition)
Square or opposition, care and control collapse into each other. Withdrawal of support is used as a weapon, or dependence is engineered so that leaving becomes impossible. Naming it plainly is the beginning; it rarely ends there, and the naming often has to be done by someone outside the arrangement, since inside it the behaviour reads as devotion.
The conjunction
Conjunct, nourishment and loss are one subject. Such people have generally been through a separation that reorganised everything, and they care with an intensity that reflects it. Letting a dependant out of sight is the specific difficulty, and it is not irrational so much as historical. Naming it as history rather than as instinct changes what can be done about it.
Reading it in a chart
The orb settles how strongly this shows: a contact within a degree is a defining feature of a chart, one at the edge of the orb is a colouring. The signs the two planets occupy change the manner, the houses change the arena, and a third planet touching either of them can change the reading entirely.
