Neptune in aspect to Pallas
Neptune dissolves outlines and Pallas finds them; the contact perceives structure in material that has none obviously — dreams, symbols, music, the shape of a story, what a group is really doing. The faculty is real and hard to verify, which is the permanent difficulty: the same gift produces genuine insight and elaborate patterns that are not there. From inside there is no difference in how the two feel, which is why method rather than sincerity has to do the sorting. Anyone with this contact benefits enormously from one sceptical friend who is not hostile to the material.

The soft aspects (trine or sextile)
Trine or sextile, imagination and analysis check each other. The person works symbolically and can still say which parts are evidence, which suits therapy, composition and any interpretive craft. The discipline is invisible from outside and is what makes the work trustworthy. It is also what makes the work teachable rather than merely impressive. Being able to say which half is which is the entire professional qualification.
The hard aspects (square or opposition)
Square or opposition, the pattern-finding runs without a brake. Connections are seen everywhere and none of them can be tested. Asking what would count as being wrong is the single most useful habit available here, and it is worth building before it is needed rather than during an episode of certainty. The habit is cheap to build in advance and nearly impossible to build in the middle.
The conjunction
Conjunct, the symbolic and the structural are one perception. It makes remarkable interpreters and occasional convincing builders of conspiracies, and the difference is method rather than sincerity. Both are equally certain; only one of them has a way of being wrong. Which of the two a person is doing can generally be settled by asking what evidence would change their mind.
Reading it in a chart
The orb settles how strongly this shows: a contact within a degree is a defining feature of a chart, one at the edge of the orb is a colouring. The signs the two planets occupy change the manner, the houses change the arena, and a third planet touching either of them can change the reading entirely.
