Moon in aspect to Jupiter
Jupiter expands, trusts and looks for meaning. Applied to the Moon it enlarges the feeling life. Emotional range is wide, optimism is close to constitutional, and comfort is found in abundance of some kind: food, company, travel, or a philosophy roomy enough to sit inside. Generosity toward others is instinctive and often precedes any assessment of whether it can be afforded. Mothers and mother figures loom large in the story, frequently as sources of encouragement. The excess runs in the same channel as the gift, so restlessness, overindulgence and a dislike of small feelings all belong to the pairing.

The soft aspects (trine or sextile)
A trine or a sextile gives a temperament that recovers. Setbacks are absorbed, hospitality is easy, and other people find the person encouraging to be around. Faith of some kind, religious or otherwise, usually holds. Foreign places and foreign families often feature warmly. The unexamined risk is comfort: a nature this buoyant can decline to look at anything genuinely uncomfortable for a very long time.
The hard aspects (square or opposition)
The square and the opposition keep the generosity and lose the proportion. Emotional demands are pitched high, promises are made warmly and kept with difficulty, and consumption of one kind or another is used to manage mood. There is nothing fixed about this. The contact matures into real emotional wisdom once scale has been learned, usually by having overshot several times and noticed.
The conjunction
Conjunct, the Moon takes on Jupiter's size. Feelings are large, expressed readily and rarely held back for strategic reasons. Kindness is genuine and expensive. Protection, teaching and looking after people all come naturally, and the person is often the one others go to. The placement does better with something worth believing in than with unstructured comfort, which it will happily consume without limit.
Reading it in a chart
The orb settles how strongly this shows: a contact within a degree is a defining feature of a chart, one at the edge of the orb is a colouring. The signs the two planets occupy change the manner, the houses change the arena, and a third planet touching either of them can change the reading entirely.
