Mars in aspect to Chiron
Mars is appetite, anger and the capacity to go after something; Chiron there makes the assertion itself the injured function. Wanting openly, competing or being angry was punished or shamed somewhere early, so the drive is either suppressed and leaks sideways, or overdone to prove it is intact. Physical courage and physical injury are both common, and the body often keeps the record. Where the suppression won, the person is frequently described as easy-going by everyone who has never seen what it costs them to ask for anything. The bill for that arrives somewhere in the forties, usually as exhaustion.

The soft aspects (trine or sextile)
With a trine or a sextile the force is available and rarely brutal. These are people who fight other people's corners effectively while being oddly slow to fight their own. Coaching, advocacy, physical therapy and martial disciplines all use the pairing well. The asymmetry is stable enough to last a career, and it is generally only noticed when someone points out that the person has never once negotiated their own salary.
The hard aspects (square or opposition)
A square or an opposition produces a stop-start relationship with wanting things. Effort collapses just before it would pay, or anger arrives at the wrong volume because it has been held. Deliberate, graduated practice at asking for what is wanted does more here than insight does. Starting small matters: the nervous system has to find out that a request can be made and refused without anything catastrophic following, and it will not take that on trust.
The conjunction
Conjunct, drive and wound act as one, which reads as someone who takes up their own cause only when it can be framed as someone else's. Physical work often carries the healing, and the healing is literal: the body improves and the fear of using it lags. Training, rehabilitation and any discipline that produces measurable gains do disproportionate good here, because they supply the one thing the pattern cannot argue with.
Reading it in a chart
The orb settles how strongly this shows: a contact within a degree is a defining feature of a chart, one at the edge of the orb is a colouring. The signs the two planets occupy change the manner, the houses change the arena, and a third planet touching either of them can change the reading entirely.
