Lilith in aspect to Vesta
Vesta keeps something sacred and Lilith refuses to hand it over. The contact marks an inviolable private area — a practice, an appetite, a part of the self — that will not be explained, shared or justified to anybody. It looks like secrecy from outside and functions from inside as the thing that keeps the person intact. Pressing on it produces a refusal out of all proportion to the request, which is generally the first anybody knows that the area exists. Its contents remain closed regardless of who is asking or how good the reason is.

The soft aspects (trine or sextile)
Trine or sextile, the privacy is held without hostility. The person simply does not discuss it, and those close to them stop asking without feeling shut out. The boundary is stated once and never has to be defended. What makes it workable is that the reserve is evidently not aimed at anybody, so nobody has to take it personally to know it is there.
The hard aspects (square or opposition)
Square or opposition, the guarding becomes a fight. Intrusion is anticipated and pre-empted, and people are pushed away before they have asked for anything. Deciding what is genuinely private, rather than defending everything, is the task, and it substantially reduces the number of fights. Deciding in advance what is actually private converts most of those fights into non-events.
The conjunction
Conjunct, what is sacred is also what is refused. Such people have an area of life nobody enters, and it is not up for discussion at any point. Partners either accept the arrangement early or discover that it is not negotiable. It is not a secret in the ordinary sense, since its existence is perfectly visible; only its contents are closed.
Reading it in a chart
The orb settles how strongly this shows: a contact within a degree is a defining feature of a chart, one at the edge of the orb is a colouring. The signs the two planets occupy change the manner, the houses change the arena, and a third planet touching either of them can change the reading entirely.
