Jupiter in aspect to Vesta
Jupiter believes and Vesta keeps the flame; together they make devotion rather than opinion. The belief is enacted daily rather than argued, and the practice matters more to the person than the doctrine behind it. It suits religious life, teaching, and any vocation where showing up is the substance of the thing. Ask them what they believe and the answer is often unsatisfying; watch what they do every morning and it is perfectly clear. The practice is where the belief actually lives, and it will outlast several revisions of the doctrine.

The soft aspects (trine or sextile)
With a trine or a sextile, meaning and discipline agree. The person's practice genuinely sustains them and is offered to others without pressure, which is why people come to it rather than being recruited. The absence of any recruiting instinct is what makes the practice credible to people who have been put off by more enthusiastic versions of the same thing.
The hard aspects (square or opposition)
Square or opposition, breadth and focus fight. Either the practice hardens into something joyless, or the enthusiasm scatters across so many interests that none is kept. Choosing one and defending it against the others is the work, and the defending is continuous rather than a single decision. The scattered version is the more common of the two and the harder to notice, since every one of the interests is genuine.
The conjunction
Conjunct, belief is a daily observance. Such people are quietly devout in whatever their subject is, and rarely feel any need to convert anybody. The practice is the argument, as far as they are concerned. Argument bores them, and they will generally let a challenge stand rather than defend anything, which people mistake for a lack of conviction.
Reading it in a chart
The orb settles how strongly this shows: a contact within a degree is a defining feature of a chart, one at the edge of the orb is a colouring. The signs the two planets occupy change the manner, the houses change the arena, and a third planet touching either of them can change the reading entirely.
