Jupiter in aspect to Neptune
Jupiter looks for meaning and Neptune dissolves the boundary around the self, so their contact turns naturally toward the spiritual and the imaginative. Compassion is broad, idealism is genuine, and the person is moved by causes and by art in a way that is difficult to argue them out of. Music, film, mysticism, charity and the more visionary end of any profession all belong here. The pairing enlarges what it touches without checking it, so hopes can be pitched at a size reality will not match, and credulity is a real hazard alongside the genuine capacity for faith.

The soft aspects (trine or sextile)
A trine or a sextile gives idealism that stays workable. Faith is sustaining rather than escapist, generosity is directed at something specific, and creative or spiritual practice becomes part of ordinary life. Kindness is unforced and widely felt. The mild caution is that a vision this comfortable rarely gets tested, and it may never be asked to survive contact with an actual institution.
The hard aspects (square or opposition)
Square or opposed, the vision and the facts diverge. Expectations are set by hope, promises made in good faith turn out to have been made in fog, and disappointment follows in proportion to the original picture. Financial and religious enthusiasms both deserve a second opinion. The corrective is discernment, learned by having believed wrongly, and it usually leaves the faith intact and the judgement improved.
The conjunction
Conjunct, belief and imagination merge. The person is drawn toward something larger than the practical world and is often genuinely gifted at conveying it. Compassion is wide and rarely calculating. The placement idealises readily, so a habit of checking the plain facts of an arrangement compensates for what it will not do on its own. Given a form, the vision here can be remarkably productive.
Reading it in a chart
The orb settles how strongly this shows: a contact within a degree is a defining feature of a chart, one at the edge of the orb is a colouring. The signs the two planets occupy change the manner, the houses change the arena, and a third planet touching either of them can change the reading entirely.
