Juno in aspect to Vesta
Juno commits to a partner and Vesta consecrates something that is not the partner. Their contact describes a relationship that has to make room for a devotion — the work, the practice, the calling — and a person for whom that room is not negotiable. Handled openly it is entirely workable; handled by omission it is the reason a partnership fails, usually some years in, when the pattern has become undeniable and the conversation that would have settled it never happened. Saying it in the first year costs an awkward evening; not saying it costs the relationship.

The soft aspects (trine or sextile)
Trine or sextile, the two are compatible. Partners understand the commitment, often share it, and the relationship is built to accommodate it from the start rather than having to be renegotiated later. Where both parties have a comparable devotion, the relationship acquires a companionable quality that outlasts a good deal of ordinary romance. Shared devotion is a considerable advantage and is not strictly necessary, only understanding is.
The hard aspects (square or opposition)
Square or opposition, the bond and the vocation compete for the same hours. Whichever is chosen, the other collects resentment. Naming the split as a permanent condition rather than a temporary crisis is what makes it survivable, since the temporary framing promises a resolution that is never going to arrive. A permanent condition can be planned around; a temporary crisis can only be waited out.
The conjunction
Conjunct, the partnership is itself the dedication, or it is required to coexist with one at very close quarters. Either way there is nothing casual about it, and a partner who wanted something lighter will not last. The people who last alongside this configuration are the ones who stopped competing with the devotion early and found something of their own.
Reading it in a chart
The orb settles how strongly this shows: a contact within a degree is a defining feature of a chart, one at the edge of the orb is a colouring. The signs the two planets occupy change the manner, the houses change the arena, and a third planet touching either of them can change the reading entirely.
