Chiron marks what did not heal and Juno is the committed relationship, so this contact says the sore place is met inside partnership. Whatever the original injury was, a partner will reliably press it — not out of malice but because closeness is where it lives. It is painful and it is also the only place the repair can happen, which is an unwelcome arrangement and the reason this configuration produces so much avoidance dressed as high standards. Standards that no available person could meet are usually a way of not finding out.

The soft aspects (trine or sextile)
Trine or sextile, the relationship is where the healing occurs. Partners are chosen who can hold the difficult material, and the person can offer the same in return. The repair happens gradually and mostly without being discussed as repair. Neither party would necessarily describe the relationship as therapeutic, and it is. What happens between them is repair whether or not either would use the word.
The hard aspects (square or opposition)
Square or opposition, the bond reopens the wound. Partners are picked who confirm the old verdict, or the person leaves at the moment intimacy would require exposure. Staying through one round of it changes the pattern more than any number of better choices, because the belief being tested is that exposure ends things. One round is enough to test it; the difficulty is staying present for the round.
The conjunction
Conjunct, commitment and injury are inseparable. Such people are remarkably good at their partner's pain and remarkably slow to bring their own into the room. The asymmetry is usually visible to the partner long before it is visible to them. A partner who asks directly, and keeps asking, is worth more than one who is simply patient.
