Ceres in aspect to Pallas
Ceres provides and Pallas designs the provision. The pairing makes people who do not merely feel for others but arrange things so the help actually arrives: the rota, the service, the structure that survives the founder leaving. Compassion here is administrative in the best sense, and can be mistaken for coolness by anyone who wanted the emotion instead. The care is in the design, and the design is doing more good than any amount of visible sympathy would. The people helped generally notice the difference even when they cannot name it.

The soft aspects (trine or sextile)
Trine or sextile, warmth and organisation reinforce each other. Support offered under this contact tends to be both kind and usable, which is a rarer combination than it should be. The person thinks about what will still work next month. Support that still works next month is worth more than support that was moving at the time.
The hard aspects (square or opposition)
Square or opposition, the system and the feeling diverge. Either the process is correct and nobody is comforted, or the caring is genuine and hopelessly unorganised. Both halves are needed and only one is instinctive, and which one is instinctive is usually obvious to everybody except the person. Acquiring the missing half is deliberate work and does not happen by good intentions.
The conjunction
Conjunct, nurture is engineered. Such people build institutions that look after people and are frequently the reason those institutions still function. Their compassion takes an organisational form, which reads as cool to whoever hoped for feeling. Institutions built this way tend to survive the founder, which is the actual test. Nobody is likely to name the person as the reason, which suits them.
Reading it in a chart
The orb settles how strongly this shows: a contact within a degree is a defining feature of a chart, one at the edge of the orb is a colouring. The signs the two planets occupy change the manner, the houses change the arena, and a third planet touching either of them can change the reading entirely.
