Saturn in the fourth house
The fourth house concerns home, family, roots and how matters conclude, and Saturn brings weight to each. A parent may have been absent, strict, ill or simply burdened, and responsibility often settled on the person early. Home is taken seriously, built rather than found, and once established it tends to be permanent. There can be a long sense of not quite belonging anywhere, which resolves in later life more often than not. Because the house also rules endings, this placement suggests a life that consolidates with age. The work is to allow the home built by duty to also become a home for comfort.

Which sign holds it
Under whole-sign houses the rising sign settles every other house at once. If you know your Ascendant, this is the sign your fourth house holds and the planet that rules it.

Reading it in context
A keynote is a starting point, not a verdict. What Saturn actually does in your fourth house depends on its sign, its aspects, its dignity, and whether it is in sect. Two people with the same placement and different charts around it live it differently.
