Neptune in the first house
Neptune in the first house softens the outline of the self. The manner is receptive and slightly unfocused, and other people project onto it readily, seeing a mystic, a victim, an artist or a saint according to their own needs. Photographs rarely look alike. There is real sensitivity to atmosphere and a tendency to take on the mood of whoever is nearest. The body can react strongly to substances, medication and its surroundings. Identity is assembled late. The task is to develop enough definition to be recognisable, and to check now and then whose feelings are actually being carried.
