Moon in the seventh house
The Moon in the seventh house needs a partner the way other placements need a home. Emotional life is organised around the marriage, the close ally and the person opposite, and moods often belong to the relationship rather than to the individual. There is real sensitivity to what the other person wants, sometimes before they know it themselves. Public reactions can be strong as well, since the seventh also holds the declared enemy. The task set is to learn one's own weather independently, so the partner is chosen and not simply needed.

Which sign holds it
Under whole-sign houses the rising sign settles every other house at once. If you know your Ascendant, this is the sign your seventh house holds and the planet that rules it.

Quadrant systems such as Placidus cut the houses by the angles instead, so a planet near a cusp can land in a different house from the whole-sign answer. The chart page shows both.
Reading it in context
A keynote is a starting point, not a verdict. What Moon actually does in your seventh house depends on its sign, its aspects, its dignity, and whether it is in sect. Two people with the same placement and different charts around it live it differently.
