Moon in the fourth house
The Moon is well placed in the fourth house, which is its own natural territory: home, family, ancestry and the end of matters. Emotional life is domestic, tidal and long-remembering, and the mother's influence is unusually strong. Comfort comes from a settled house and known walls, though the actual history of the home may involve many moves. The past is never quite past. What this placement asks is that the roots be tended rather than only guarded, so the house shelters a life instead of preserving one.

Which sign holds it
Under whole-sign houses the rising sign settles every other house at once. If you know your Ascendant, this is the sign your fourth house holds and the planet that rules it.

Quadrant systems such as Placidus cut the houses by the angles instead, so a planet near a cusp can land in a different house from the whole-sign answer. The chart page shows both.
Reading it in context
A keynote is a starting point, not a verdict. What Moon actually does in your fourth house depends on its sign, its aspects, its dignity, and whether it is in sect. Two people with the same placement and different charts around it live it differently.
