Capricorn Sun with a Taurus Moon
Earth agrees with earth, so the ambition and the comfort want the same things. The Capricorn Sun is after achievement that holds up over decades; the Taurus Moon needs the physical facts of life to be settled, pleasant and unhurried. Together they make someone durable, financially cautious and hard to rush into anything. Effort is steady rather than dramatic, and the results tend to arrive late and stay. The absence of internal urgency is the difficulty: nothing here objects to another year of the same. It falls to this combination to interrupt its own comfort before circumstances do it instead.
The two signs
| The pair | a trine — one element shared, so need and purpose speak the same language without effort |
|---|---|
| Sun in Capricorn | earth (practicality, patience and the material), cardinal (starting things), ruled by Saturn |
| Moon in Taurus | earth (practicality, patience and the material), fixed (sustaining them), ruled by Venus |
| Elements | the same element |
What is missing from this page
A Sun and Moon pair is two of the ten placements in a chart. The rising sign changes how both are expressed, the houses say where the story happens, and an aspect from Saturn or Jupiter to either light can change the reading entirely. This page is a starting point, not a summary of a person.

Why the Sun and the Moon, and not just the Sun
A Sun sign on its own describes what a person is aiming at. It says nothing about what they need in order to be able to aim at anything. The Moon is that second thing: the conditions under which a person can rest, recover and feel safe enough to act.
Most of what makes a chart feel like a specific person rather than one of twelve types comes from the relationship between those two. When the Sun and Moon are in signs of one element the two run together and the person tends to be legible to themselves. When they are square or in aversion, the thing that restores the person is not the thing that advances them, and the life has an argument running through it. Neither arrangement is better; they are different problems.
You need a birth time for the Moon
The Moon moves about thirteen degrees a day, so it changes sign every two and a half days. A birth near a sign boundary can be either sign depending on the hour, and no lookup table can settle it. Casting the chart is the only way to be certain.
